Unique, one of a kind color mixes….
How do we create our awesome glass color mixes? We combine little chips of concentrated glass color called “frit” in a mixing bowl. We then spread the color chips out onto a steel tabletop for pick up. Rather than dreaming up your own color combination, not knowing how the colors are going to look, you can choose from one of our proprietary color mixes shown below. The unique combinations we have created are what make our glass products so vibrant and special.
Take note, the look of the glass color mixes will vary based on how it is combined with the clear glass. If the color is melted on top of the clear gather, it has more of a spotted look and texture. Like in our hot air balloons and Christmas Balls. If we encase the color underneath the clear, the surface of the piece is smooth. The color chips will swirl and blend together a bit more, as seen with our bottle stoppers and ring holders. The color swatches below show the frit on the surface of the glass. This is how we add color to most of the items we create, particularly the smaller blown objects.
