Description
Our dichroic glass pendants are very 3-Dimensional, one of a kind, wearable art pieces. To make the cabs we layer a specialty glass called dichroic, underneath clear sheet glass and fuse it together. After the glass has cooled, we cut, grind and polished the cab on a diamond beveling wheel and form each pendant into a geometric shape. Fitting the glass with a border of fine silver bezel, we create a cup that the glass can set into. Next, we mark and cut sterling silver sheet in the shape of the glass cab but slightly larger to create a surrounding edge. We solder the bezel cup to the sheet. Completing the silver work we and grind, buff and polished the metal into a simple and elegant, hand fabricated setting. Dana sets all dichroic glass pendants with epoxy, bonding them permanently to the metal. Our pendants come in arcs, rectangles, squares, circles and shields. In addition, we have sterling snake chains in 18″, 20” and 24” lengths that are sold separately.
