Dagger Vase

Categories: Bronze & Glass, Paperweights
  • Description

Description

The vase was first created in blown glass, then sandblasted and painted with oils.  The lid and pedestal, including the dagger, were carved in wax and cast in bronze using the lost wax method. Patinas were used to color portions of the bronze to tie in the vase to the metal work and complete the piece.
